Welcome to Eowyn’s Sword, where we view our personal life Journey & historical cycles through an Astro-Mythic lens. I’m Loralee Scaife, as a consultant & coach, I work with a combination of Jungian Psychology, Mythology & Astrology as means of understanding one’s personal psychology & life path in relation to the current events of our time.
 
Eowyn’s Sword refers to the character of Eowyn in Lord of the Rings.  I’ve done a deep study of LOTR as the Myth of our Time.  Eowyn represents the Indomitable Human Spirit expressed in feminine form.  The essence of the Feminine principle is to be a bearer & protector of Life.  Move the S in sword to the end & you have Words, the swords of our time are words!

Each New Moon provides an opportunity to initiate a new process, similar to planting a seed.  That seed gestates through the waxing phase coming to fullness on the Full Moon where we can evaluate what has sprouted or presented itself in our life.  The waning phase is the time of integrating what has come to light in preparation for the next New Moon which is born of the fruits of the previous lunation cycle.  The zodiacal sign of each NM & FM will define the areas of life affected.  In addition we will discuss other notable planetary alignments occurring each month.

Intro to an Astro-Mythic Perspective:
I consider Astrology to be a language of symbols, where each symbol in the form of the planets, represents a force of nature alive in the human psyche in image form.  The sign of the zodiac a planet is placed in describes how that force of nature wants to be expressed in the individual as well as in the collective.
For eg. Mars, known as the God of War, represents the human expression of anger, aggression & assertion of boundaries in the service of protecting oneself from threat of death or injury.  It is associated with the primal hard wired survival instincts of fight, flight, freeze present in all animals.  In humans f/f/f maps onto the emotions of rage, terror & grief. The sign Mars appears in shows the form through which this is expressed.  It also defines the way in which we can express courage & valour in our own life.
Venus represents the urge to love & be loved associated with bonding hormones such as oxytocin & vasopressin.  The sign Venus is placed in provides insight into how that is expressed in the individual.
 
The planets are named after gods & goddesses, the stories of their behavior are told in the Greco Roman Myths.  I view the horoscope or birth chart as the story of one’s life told in symbols, your personal Myth, portraying the themes & dramas encountered on your unique Hero/Shero Journey.
Carl Jung & Joseph Campbell believed ‘myth is to a culture what dreams are to the individual’, highlighting the importance of the Imaginal Realm in our personal & collective life.  Sadly the rational logical functions have been over emphasized while imagination is deemed less relevant.  As a result the myths & stories that teach us how to be human are lost resulting in increased reliance on controlled information & Artificial Intelligence.

Bringing Myth into the conversation connects us to the Imaginal thus balancing the functions of intellect & imagination.  If you are here you probably already know there is a War on for our minds but worse than that is the war for our Imagination.  This is the final battleground for human freedom & survival of our species.  The human imagination is being colonized by the implanting of images via marketing, entertainment & AI to disconnect us from nature & access to our innate creative resources & deepest knowing of how to be human.  The colonizers are composed of those who seek to control & dominate all Life. ‘One Ring to rule them All!’  I refer to them as the Forces of Evil (the FOE).  EVIL is LIVE spelled backwards meaning that which is Anti-Life.
This Anti-Life Force operates via a four fold system I call the 4 MICS:
1) the Military Industrial Complex
2) the Money Industrial Complex
3) the Medical/Pharma Industrial Complex
4) the Media Industrial Complex
These interlocking institutions work together to advance the agenda of the “One Ring to Rule them all” organizations such as the UN, WEF, WHO, World Bank, IMF & all the other alphabet agencies inhabited at the top by a collection of psychopaths, banksters, gangsters & criminals.

The Media Industrial Complex is the vehicle used to deploy Weaponized Propaganda steering people away from trusting in their own deep knowing of truth.
A perfect example of this is the propagation of trans-gender & transhumanist ideology targeting children & sowing confusion over our most basic human experience, that of male & female. 
 
The good news is we can reclaim the ground of the Imaginal by understanding how the Great Myths teach us the truth of our inner connection between Spirit (Soul/Pysche/Imagination) & Matter, that is, our physical bodies & relationship to the material world in which we all live. 
In the episodes to come we will strive to reconnect to our deep Imaginal roots & by doing so activate Divinely inspired creativity to solve the very challenging problems of our time & build a world that aligns with the Life Force of the Universe & “all that is green & good in this world”!
 
Today March 20 is the Vernal Equinox.  Spring begins with the Sun entering
Aries, the first sign of the zodiac.  The symbol for Aries is the sprouting seed representing the powerful burst of life force that pushes the tiny sprout above the frozen ground to reach for the light that feeds its growth.
So what is being born in the Spring of 2025? This new cycle comes on the heels of the astounding global events of the last few months.  Never before in history have we experienced the magnitude of changes at such a pace. 
 
Opportunities for new beginnings occur every spring, every New Moon, & for each individual every year on your Birthday.  Having awareness of these opportunities enables us to learn from past mistakes & generate creative solutions to challenging issues.
In addition to the 2025 Spring Equinox other astrological events this March signify an unusal emphasis on new beginnings. But before something new can be born anew the waste & debris of the past must be eliminated.  A Lunar Eclipse takes place near midnight PT Mar 13 & early morning Mar 14 for eastern time zones.  Every Lunar Eclipse is a Full Moon, but of much greater potency & its effect operates for about 6 months until the next eclipse cycle.  This one is in Virgo, the sign associated with analyzing, synthesizing & processing information in order to glean what is useful & practical.  Virgo rules the lower digestive system where the food we eat is broken down to assimilate the nutrients & eliminate the waste.  A Lunar Eclipse is always a time to ‘clear away the old dead, rotting ‘stuff’ & balance the opposites emphasized by the signs involved, in this case
Virgo & Pisces.  Here the Sun is in Pisces along with Saturn & Neptune, its planetary ruler.  Neptune is the God of the Sea, thus represents the unfathomable depths of the psyche containing all the dissolved bits of human memory, emotion, dreams, images, all sloshing around in the collective unconscious.  Neptune & Pisces represent forces of dissolution, the breaking down of structures to be reformulated into something with greater creative potential.  If this creative potential is not used mindfully the result is confusion, delusion, susceptibilty to manipulation & emotional infantilization.  Therefore the Virgo/Pisces polarity calls upon all of us to seek a balance of intellect, reason & logic with feeling, intuition, imagination & compassion.  Neptune rules our immune system currently under attack from toxins in the air, water, food & what is deceptively called ‘medicine’.  Be sure to bring extra care & attention to strengthening your immune system this month.
Following the Lunar Eclipse comes a Solar Eclipse March 29.  A Solar Eclipse is an extra powerful New Moon, this time in Aries further emphasizing the powerful themes of sprouting seeds & beginning anew. Mercury & Venus are also situated in Aries for most of the month.  Since Aries is ruled by Mars, the fiery, impatient, impulsive god of war we will need to take extra care in our communications (Mercury) & relationships (Venus) to learn to pause & respond instead of reacting to the words or people we find irritating or in disagreement with our worldview.  Using Words as Swords does NOT mean roaring around chopping off heads but instead learning to wield Words in a way that deters violence by encouraging spirited debate & honest conversation.
 
Mars is now travelling through Cancer, sign of the Moon, connecting to the maternal instincts of nurturing & nourishing, protection of home, family & homeland. The challenge here is to evoke the courage of the Warrior to stand against threats to our life affirming values & the vulnerability of our precious children.
The corrupt Medical/Pharamceutical Industrial Complex enriches itself by  grooming our children via the Transgender Cult to undergo experimental chemical & surgical mutilation.  Sophisticated techniques of Psychological Warfare are used to convince children & their parents that such radical interventions are the ONLY means of saving them from suicide when it is well known that mutilation of the physical body can never make someone into something they are not. The consequences will only lead to a lifetime of physical & mental anguish for those seduced by the Cult & further contribute to the destruction of social norms that underlie a functional society.

But now the Warrior Spirit in all of us is called upon to confront an even greater threat to the children of the world. That is the Enemies of Life consider children their most profitable currency.  Millions of children disappear annually into the Global Child Sex Trafficking Network to be used, abused & murdered for the power, greed & pleasure of those engaged in the distribution & consumption of pornography, human organ harvesting & Satanic Ritual Abuse. 
 
In addition the emphasis on Aries & Mars this month sheds light on the Shadow side of the Warrior archetype.  Here we see the war mongering psychopaths of the world on full display rattling their sabers, threatening to command other peoples children to die in wars that enrich them & the builders of their weaponary.  All to create a fear fueled mass distraction to cover up their egregious crimes.  We the People of the World are now called to overcome petty differences to stand shoulder to shoulder against an Enemy that is coming for us all!
 
This month is a time to reflect on what you want to initiate & set in motion.
Use the energy of the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo to mindfully prepare your planting ground, by clearing out negative thought patterns, toxic self criticism & paralysing perfectionism.  Feed your body & mind with health promoting food & inspiring information.  If you are experiencing symptoms of digestive distress, of course consider dietary changes but don’t forgot to include a look at your mind set, for it is well known that stress & negative thinking can undermine your physical health.
Choose the seeds of what you want to grow in your life with care & don’t forget to tend to them consistently & you will see them come to fruition at the Summer Solstice & the next eclipse cycle coming in September.  All in all this is the best time ever to rise to your Greatness!
 
Finally the coming year will see the 4 outer planets enter new signs marking major shifts in human consciousness consistent with the nature of the signs involved.  Deeper examination of these events can be found in my Blog.
